Hello There!
Seeing as you may or may not have reached this page by your own intent, I am probably obliged to tell you a little bit about myself.
My given name is Rian-Pascal, though most people just call me Rian. I am a 27-year-old guy who still loves learning new things and taking on challenges. I have been happily married to my wife, Janay Bergen, since November 5th, 2025!!! She is the best thing to have ever happened to me! My passions include Astrophotography, Hiking, Kayaking, Reading, Dancing, Drawing, and Old Things. My Hobbies generally revolve around these.
Some facts about me:
- I spend every moment I can pondering the greatness of the GOD that I serve and the sacrifices HE has made for me.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
- I love Astronomy, both Visual and Photography
"The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them." - Psalm 111:2
- I prefer reading a good book over watching the movie. They're just better 95% of the time.
- Historical Fiction and Poetry are among my favorites.
- I occasionally like to draw. It takes me a looong time, so I don't do it very often.
- I prefer Instrumental Music as it helps me concentrate.
- I generally dislike RAP, Rock, etc.
- I would love to own an observatory one day.
- I don't mind that farm life.
- I am a 2020 GitHub Arctic Code Vault Contributor.
- It's nothing really, but I was nominated as TIME magazine's person of the year in 2006.
Some of my Goals are:
- I would love to own/work for a wood shop one day.
- I would love to have a study/library in my future home. Somewhere quiet, and surrounded by books.
- I wouldn't mind having an amateur observatory as well. :)
- To be a light on a hill, so that others who look at me see the Father.
